Introduction to Gearman - a distributed, language and OS independent system for dynamic programming

Abstract

Gearman is a client/server framework that makes task development easier and better suited for the job. Interaction between several operating systems and programming languages is friendly and easy. There are interfaces for the major languages, plugins and standalone applications, which allow you to define tasks and request jobs in a distributed environment.
